Dear Denny:
I wanted to write you regarding the Clormatic ll automatic salt-water sanitizer system. We have been using the system all season and would never go back to traditional chlorine.
The Clormatic system is truly "Carefree." We thorouthly enjoyed seimming in the silky soft water. Once we had the total alkalinity adjusted to the proper level, the pH stabilized at 7.6 and stayed there all summer. We only had to add stabilizer at the beginning of the season and after a really heavy rain. No additional chemicals were needed. Prior to Clormatic we were spending about $40-$50 a month on various chemicals and always making adjustments and constantly running to the pool store for another chemical.
This summer I switched to dip strips for testing and it basically got boring, testing about every other day and everything was normal. The local pool store was not at all familiar with the salt-water system, and it didn't bother me leaving the store empty-handed. No more lugging the heavy chlorine bottles, ever again. No more red eyes, faded bathing suits, or the smell of chlorine.
